Washington Head Coach Lorenzo Romar extended his latest offer on Monday to 2017 three-star Raleigh (N.C.) Word Of God Christian Academy point guard Blake Harris, his eighth offer to date.

It was the first time the North Carolina product had heard from the Huskies, so it was a getting to know each other conversation after Harris picked up the offer.

"It's a very, very big offer for me," Harris told Rivals.com Monday. "They're in a major conference, have great coaches, they tend to send guards to the league and they play my style of play."

The Huskies joined Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forrest. In addition to Romar, the three-star point guard talked with assistant head coach Raphael Chillious.

"He just wanted to get to know me better," Harris said. "We had a casual conversation. The same with coach Romar, we were just getting to know each other."

With the offer Harris told Rivals.com the Huskies are in his top five, at this point, with a strong chance of rising up the list. The first part will be taking a visit to the campus, which is expected to be in July or August.

Harris played his junior season at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, where freshman forward Noah Dickerson played. Harris averaged 2.5 point and 2.5 assists per game in 17 appearances for Montverde Academy.
