2017 four-star La Jolla (Calif.) dual-threat quarterback Braxton Burmeister informed Rivals.com on Wednesday he is set to announce his commitment on Friday at 8:30 a.m.

The nations No.184 overall prospect, a one-time Arizona commit, will decide between Cal, Indiana, San Diego State, South Carolina, Utah, Washington and the Wildcats. All indications are the four-star signal caller will recommit to Rich Rodriguez and Arizona come Friday.

Burmeister de-committed from Arizona earlier this spring and took unofficial visits to Washington, South Carolina, Indiana and Utah before shutting down his recruitment. Following his unofficial visit to Washington, his final unofficial of the spring, sources indicated that Burmeister was close to pulling the trigger on the Huskies.

However, the both Washington and Burmeister slowly drifted their separate ways and with the Huskies zeroing in on three-star Newport Beach (Calif.) Corona Del Mar pro-style quarterback Chase Garbers, the Huskies are an unlikely destination.
