Washington head coach Chris Petersen picked up his seventh verbal commitment late Tuesday night from 2017 three-star wide receiver Ty Jones. Several other news and notes to check out this morning...

-- According to CBSSports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, the Huskies have added another non-conference opponent to their 2016-17 schedule in Yale.

-- Junior offensive lineman Coleman Shelton has been named to the 2016 Rimington Trophy watch list, given to the nations best offensive lineman. Shelton has played both guard and tackle for the Huskies in his three years at Washington.

-- You can thank the 1992 game between Nebraska and Washington as the reason for the Huskies No.1 ranking for Loudest College Football Stadiums.

-- BasketballInsiders.com takes a look at former Washington men's basketball forward Marquese Chriss as the 2016 NBA Draft approaches. At just 18-years-old, Chriss has a very good chance to be a lottery pick.

-- Washington has made the final three for former UNLV strong forward commit Carlos Johnson, who took his final official visit to UW over the weekend. Boise State and Oregon State are the other two finalists that the three-star prospect will choose between on Thursday. A source confirmed to Rivals.com that the Huskies have indeed offered Johnson and would take him without question if indeed Washington is where he wants to go.

- While Johnson is the most widely mentioned men's basketball target remaining for the 2016 class, the Huskies could still add another player before the staff turns its full attention to the 2017 class.
